Good land work starts with seeing the whole property.

We help property owners improve the way their land meets the water—and the way their recreational acreage works for them.

Every job begins with a walk-through, a clear scope, and a practical plan built around access, equipment, and the character of the site.

From detailed shoreline cleanup and heavy vegetation removal to trails, shooting lanes, brush cutting, and access improvements, our goal is simple: leave the property more functional, more beautiful, and ready to enjoy. Based in Chapin, we serve Lake Murray properties in Chapin, Irmo, Lexington, Gilbert, Leesville, Prosperity, and Saluda, along with land projects throughout the surrounding Midlands.

What we do.

01

Shoreline restoration

Shoreline cleanup, debris removal, and access improvements around docks and waterfront areas.

02

Silt removal & dredging

Excavation and removal of accumulated material around docks and shoreline areas that improve boat access, enhance swimming areas, and make the lake more enjoyable.

03

Vegetation management

Brush cutting, vegetation removal, selective clearing, stormwater pond and basin maintenance, and view restoration that respects the character of the property.

04

Property reclamation

Significant cleanup of overgrown yards and properties, restoring access and making properties usable again.

05

Recreational property improvements

Trail and access creation, shooting-lane clearing, forestry mulching, bush hogging, brush cutting, and selective cleanup shaped around how the property is used and maintained.

Open the view. Clear the way. Make the land useful again.

From overgrown acreage and blocked lake views to recreational tracts that need better access, we combine the right equipment with a measured approach. We create and reopen trails, cut shooting lanes, manage brush, and improve how the property looks, moves, and functions.

Walk the property with us

A limited window to address silt around your dock.

As the lake level drops, areas that are normally underwater become accessible for work. Woods & Cove helps property owners remove accumulated silt around docks and shorelines, restore usable access to the water, and clean up exposed waterfront areas before the lake returns to its normal level.

Experienced operators. Proper equipment. Lake Murray knowledge.

Our dredging work is performed with highly experienced operators who have spent years working on Lake Murray and understand the machinery, access planning, material handling, and care required for shoreline work.

Dock-area silt removal

Excavation and removal of accumulated material around docks, slips, and the immediate shoreline within the approved work area.

Hauling & site protection

Removed material is loaded and hauled away, with access planned carefully and protective mats used where conditions require them.

Shoreline cleanup

Vegetation, debris, and exposed shoreline can be cleaned up and improved while access is practical.

All work is evaluated for site access and completed subject to applicable Dominion Energy authorization and shoreline requirements. The drawdown creates a limited work window, so advance scheduling is strongly encouraged.
